I remember Killa Kela blowing me away at Global Gathering back in 2008. When I heard about the chance to remix one of the tracks from his new Eklips collaboration EP, I couldn't wait to get started!
I've gone for a dark analogue vibe, bringing Glasgow's well known Detroit techno influences to the Virus track. It's a brooding, organic sounding remix which I feel lends itself well to the original track.
It's a little bit faster than the original; just enough to retain the hiphop vibe whilst steering it towards a more late-night techno tempo. It is not an officially endorsed remix, and is not available to purchase.
